IKEA Company and Belaya Dacha agro-industrial firm have set up a unique joint enterprise. This cooperation will result in the construction of one of the largest in Europe family-oriented shopping and entertainment centers.

A grandiose mega mall with the area of about 270 000 square meters will be built on the site owned by the Belaya Dacha Company (14th km off the Moscow Beltway). The total investment into this unique joint venture will amount to over $400 million.

The construction of the first phase of the mall, IKEA store, began in the summer off 2004. Already in September 2005 the IKEA opened its doors to the customers. The area of the store covers almost 30,000 m_. The IKEA restaurant can seat over 500 customers at a time. The opening of IKEA at the Belaya Dacha premises will create around 500 new jobs for the residents of the nearby Moscow and Moscow region districts.

The beginning of the family-oriented shopping and entertainment mall construction is scheduled for the summer of 2005. It was opened in the fall of 2006. The third phase of the project, the construction of a theme park, a motel and an office center will begin in 2006 and is scheduled for completion in 2007. In total, the mega mall will create 6000 to 7000 new jobs.
